Each photographer has his own favorite theme. Christophe Jacques – bad weather. Rain and snow have been a must for his shots since 2006. The author says of his latest edition: “This book is a wandering around the countries in winter.” Starting from Iceland, he went to Siberia, then to Japan, Canada, France … In the pictures are Jacques and busy cities in the snow, and desert landscapes.

Jacro says that for three years the weather did not allow him to photograph the European winter, after which he went in search of a snowy but populated landscape. Searches brought him to Iceland. “This country gave me the opportunity to get away from the big cities that I spent so much time exploring and rediscover the vast expanses,” says the photographer. – Iceland is less wild and untouched than it seems at first glance – there are large motorways, huge tunnels, villages, ports, churches, cities … and everywhere there is Wi-Fi access. I enjoyed this white ocean, seemingly so deserted and at the same time inhabited. “
