bringing my work together/set-up-major project

With everything in the process of being completed or already finished, I have to think about how I am going to make the pieces all come together. I can do this by producing a potential mock-up with how it could be presented for the hand in, making it look as close as possible to how I want to exhibit my works. I will be creating both a digital and sketched out version of my wall space, the ideas will change slightly.

Below is a digital version of how I want my wall space to look for the hand in and exhibition. It’s a near enough example of my works and where I would like to have them placed. It looks busy, and that can be distracting for some but I wanted to have a lot going on for the people who don’t want to use their time to look through my zine, theres a lot more different pieces to look at as you walk by, giving my work the opportunity to be seen and looked in to. The zine is the centre piece which will be placed on the personally designed skateboard that an artist created for me, the zine will stick out amongst the bright colours. Briefly above will be the poster I created with all my ‘lost’ imagery (the pictures that weren’t used in the zine). Running through the middle I will have a neon light behind and potentially going round the work, depending on what will look more visually appealing. The polaroids are just a rough idea, but will most likely be near or attached to the skateboard. In this digital visual of how I want to present my work, I only have two garments displayed when I wanted three, this will be decided when I can see how much space I am working with when setting up. The way I would like to hang my garments, will be having them hung on wooden hangers that will be hooked onto oak wall hooks. I will make the neon light stick to the wall with white tack, making it look discrete and effective. I will be buying brackets to drill into the wall to connect my skateboard, and create the shelf to place my zines on. I am worried about the sizing of my zines compared to the skateboard, so I am looking into a clear magazine holder to support the quantity of zines I have.
