Dramatic, melancholic compositions of a landscape devoid of all human intentions in Mindaugas Buivydas’ series of beautiful monochrome images create a soothing sense of stillness within us. Featuring an arrangement of lonely landscape scenes, the project, entitled My Monochrome Spring, features a collection of pictures that zoom out to show wide-open skies. Blanketing the skies are rich, puffed swirls of grey and black cloud that seem to descend on the fallow trees, cows and paths that litter the foreground.
With an Instagram bio that reads, ” Nature photography as Emotion. Idea. Mystery. Beauty.”, the intention behind Buivydas’s work is clear in its desire to inspire thoughtful musings on the sights he shoots.
