Breastfeeding and free-bleeding, have long been a taboo in our society but for a Texas young mother, it’s a passion for life which she turned into a full-time profession. 29-year-old Carlee Benear is a mother of three, whose Instagram chronicles detail her practising yoga religiously and shows her “free bleeding” on her gorgeous children’s heads, in a bid to normalize periods.
Her magic recipe that has turned the yoga teacher into an Instagram star, who is followed by over 62,000 fans.
A stay-at-home mom, Carlee began full-time yoga when she was suffering post-natal depression after her first child was born. She decided to try something new after her second baby was born in the hope it would help with her mental health. As a practice for the entirety of her third pregnancy, she continued with yoga and its advanced forms.

Eventually, she made it back to where she was before giving birth — and has managed to incorporate feeding her daughter into her practice.
According to her, “When I see my photos, I am reminded of my strength as a mother, the courage it takes to be a parent and the power of love”.

Her skills have clearly been so well appreciated, that you’ll now find her Instagram full of snaps of her doing handstands and with inspiring captions like, “I hope you find your peace today”.

Benear credits the human body as an “art with infinite capabilities”.

The yoga expert feels all her breastfeeding yoga portrait have an important connection with her children. Many pictures capture the playfulness of her with her kids.
