Digital shots:

These were my digital shots from the shoot, I have always brought my canon camera on set with me now due to my film pictures not always being the best quality I needed for my zine. For the amount of time I had to prep for this back up shoot I am really pleased with how these images came out. The locations were suited to what I needed, but didn’t give me a lot of variation like I had planned in advance, but overall still pleased and excited with the pictures I got. I’m really happy with the colour choices I made, even with the theme running through my shoots with the bright pinks and yellows etc. But will still try to link this in when editing my zine. There are are few really strong portraits in here, with great quality that will really show in my zine. Some shots look awkward but can see the model getting more comfortable at stages as the shoot progressed. These are all unedited and haven’t been cropped, the composition in some of the photo’s really draw you into the model.

film shots:

The colours from these set of film picture have such a different feel from the digital, these photos don’t feel as warm as the digitals. I can edit this in photoshop, but the quality in most the pictures are lost from either the focus not being adjusted, or the iso reading was not correct. The model is always the main subject matter, merely using the plants as a prop, as the styling pops from the background. I don’t think there is much sense of what time this could possibly be, from looking at the photographs it looks like they could have been taken in the morning sun. But comparing these to the digital you can see that in them set of images, its the golden hour as they all have that warmer glow. The iso was all wrong for this shoot, making some of the pictures look faint. These can all be edited, but would rather keep true to the original image as much as possible. I was on and off using flash in this shoot to experiment with my camera, as from previous shoots flash seemed to be a reliable way of getting a full focussed photo. I will need to go through and make the necessary crops to see if any of these pictures are eligible for my zine.
