digital photo’s:
Below are the digital files I got of the shoot I did for my still photo’s. I’ve experimented with objects and still life. I wanted to play on the natural element and use natural light in an outside environment. I wanted to play around with different angles and positions. Filling spaces and hanging the objects up was a good way to bring together all the items, all I needed was a few different variations of placement and maybe a similar shoot but different colour pallets would’ve helped bring this together. I prefer the floor in the second variation set of images, as it gave it more texture and depth to the objects around it. So if I have time to reshoot the first set up, it would be worth to do so.
expired film:
These pictures were taken on expired film, some turned out better than others. But was still able to get a few interesting shots. The effect you you get on this film, from 1996 I would have imagined there being a lot more light leaks or some other defect, but the colours did vary throughout the film roll. I will use a couple of images from this experimentation in my final project, but prefer the quality of the digital files as I need all the detail I can get when blowing these up to A4. I will continue to shoot expired film as I’m interested in what else it could offer me in photography.
