After a year-long hiatus, the international EyeEm Photography Awards are back with new winners and finalists selected from over 340,000 entries in six categories: Storytelling, Environmentalist, Minimalist, Architect, Portraitist, Natural spaces.”
EyeEm , a photography community of over 8 million photographers, is hosting a competition to showcase innovative images of emerging talent and push the boundaries of visual storytelling. Participation is free for everyone with any skill level.
Since 2015, the EyeEm Awards have been the largest photography competition in terms of entries. In 2018, it attracted over 700,000 submissions from 100,000 photographers around the world. The number of categories has been expanded to 10, including: Gourmet, Traveler, Minimalist, Architecture, Outdoors, Photojournalist, Mobile Photographer, Portraitist, Creative Approach, “Street Photographer”
In 2019 the EyeEm Photography Awards held the title of the largest photography competition in the world and broke its own record as the judges received one million submissions from which winners and finalists were selected. In 2020, the competition was not held, but in the 2021st EyeEm Awards once again pleases both viewers and participants. For the first place in the categories presented with 1000 euros and gifts from sponsors. For the second and third places – 500 and 250 euros respectively. The works of all winners and finalists are exhibited at the exhibition in Berlin.
